The Belgian started the year at No. 113 and nearly halved that by the end of the year. In July, Olivier Rochus lost in the Newport final for the second year in a row, falling to top seed John Isner.
He also reached the Eastbourne quarterfinals and won an ATP Challenger Tour title at Le Gosier.
The 30-year-old has an older brother Christophe who plays on the tour. Rochus considers backhand and return as his strength, and his favorite surface is hard court.
Rochus is coached by countryman Reginald Willems.
