Suarez Navarro had another solid year in 2010 with a finalist finish at Marbella in Spain where she beat countrywoman, Maria Joes Martinez Sanchez before falling to Flavia Pennetta in three sets. She was a quarterfinalist at Hobart and Barcelona and reached the semis at Acapulco after a win over Gisela Dulko.
 
One of her best results was at Indian Wells where she accounted for Svetlana Kuznetsova and Agnes Szavay.
 
She also made the third round of the Australian Open and won the title at a US$100,000 event at Sofia, Bulgaria.
 
Previous best career results include a final at Marbella in 2009 and reaching the quarters of Grand Slams twice – Australian Open 2009 and Roland Garros in 2008.
 
Other top results included three quarterfinals – Bastad, Prague and Linz, as well as some solid results for the Spanish Fed Cup team.
 
The previous year had been a breakthrough year for the Barcelona resident, the Roland Garros result the best for a number of years as a qualifier. She also represented her nation at the Olympics.
