Heineken Open wildcards announced

The 2012 Heineken Open wildcards have
been announced.
American Sam Querrey, who made the final in
2009, and Kiwi Michael Venus will both receive wildcards into the
men's tournament.
Querrey is a former top 20 player from the
US who a year ago was ranked #17 in the world. A host of injuries
derailed his 2011 season, and elbow surgery kept him out of Wimbledon
and the US Open.
Venus is New Zealand's highest ranked player at #379.
The Heineken Open is scheduled to begin on Saturday 7 January with the qualifying rounds, and main draw action is set for Monday 9 January.
